God's investment in our future

Jebamani and her two children

Jebamani, which means ‘prayer bell‘, is 25 years old and has two children Beulah Rani aged 8 and Joshua Rajan aged 5.

She was married at the age of 13 years old; her husband has thrown her out on the street with the children. He said, “You can have the devil but don’t go to a Christian church”.

The story is as follows – when she was three years old she became ill, she would have stomach pains, her legs and body would swell up. She would suffer memory loss, if someone died or if someone took her food away there was no response. It was as though she had no feelings. She said that from the age of three she could always smell dead and decaying bodies wherever she went. The doctors did not know what was wrong with her, no one could give an explanation and they said it was not a medical condition.

The Pastor Jackson prayed for her and all the symptoms left her, and so she became a Christian. Her husband threw her and the children out on the street and married another girl from the same street in front of his wife, adding to her shame.

She works and earns £22 per month but it takes £30 per month for a family of three to survive and to send the children to school costs and additional £60 per year per child.

We are asking if anyone would like to help Jebamani (jeb ar marnie). We would ask anyone who could offer this help to contact Mr. Nick Nundy by email at nick.nundy@watton.org. Nick will be able to give you all the details.
