Schools Link
Schools report:
There were 5 people in the schools team Flora, June, Eileen,
Anne and Ruth. They have had a wonderful time and were very
touched by the children, their politenesss and obedience.
They were paricularly touched when the children prayed for
them.
The team worked at the orphanage
and the school. The team took classes in conversational
English where the children had the opportunity to speak
english and ask about what life is like in England. The
team very much enjoyed their time with the children and
Eileen has said that she now has 200 more grand children.
At Fred Nicholson School (UK) Year 7, as part of their
multiculture development, are working on creating a link
with KMPC School in Bangalore.
Some of the activities they will be taking part in include:
- developing a booklet all about Fred Nicholson School.
- gathering information about Dereham, Norfolk - their
local area.
- producing a passport about themselves.
- organizing a coffee morning at the school to raise funds
for KMPC School.
June Brown, who works at Fred Nicholson School, will then
take the money raised, booklets, passports etc. to KMPC
school and hopefully will return with information from the
children in India.
Fredrick and Flora, who are the nephew and niece of the
KMPC school Principal visited Fred Nicholson School on 2nd
May 2003 and created the first contact. They told the children
about some of the differences and enjoyed their time at
the school.
