Pastor Francis Xaviour

Pastor Francis Xaviour has a small house church in Nagawara district of Bangalore with 12 – 15 people attending. His wife’s name is Sagaya Mary which means “mother of help”. They have four daughters Melcoria, seen in the picture, Manseela, Maraleena, and Evangeline. They had a church of 60 people but were forced to leave the area by local people.
Francis was a Hindu and an alcoholic; he heard about Jesus through his wife and gave his life to Jesus. He fasted for forty days and on the 28th day he was baptised in the Holy Spirit. Melcoria, then 9 years old, was bitten by a cobra snake on the 39th day. She was rushed to hospital and blood tests were made every hour. She gradually recovered and now goes to college.
They need a little support just to help them get started and to help them evangelise the area. We would ask anyone who could offer this help to contact Mr. Nick Nundy by email at nick.nundy@watton.org. Nick will be able to give you all the details.
