God's investment in our future

Fri 10 Jun 2005

Today is the second day of the Pastor's conference and the third day of the gospel crusade.

Tonight at the gospel meeting Eileen will be giving her testimony and Pastor Jackson will be preaching.

We received an email from the team today:

We are all excited at the way the visit is going. Our work with the local groups here in Tirupuri has been well received. The meetings, both the conference during the days and the gospel meetings in the evening have been very good.

Alan, Lydia and Vic spoke at today's Pastor Conference. Many of the delegates talked to the team afterwards saying how much they enjoyed the content, that they were uplifted, challenged and encouraged. A lot of what the team spoke on has been on the hearts and minds of many of the Indian leaders.

Update on Alan
Alan missed the meetings on Thursday, due to being ill from something he ate. The other members of the team were so worried, as were the India team, that they took him to hospital. The Doctor was brilliant and soon put it down to bad food poisoning and not anything more serious. Medication was prescribed and paid for (Rupees 250 - for 6 items!! that's about 3 pounds and 30 pence!) and we all went back to the hotel. By Friday morning after antibiotics, a bit of sleep and a lot of prayer, Alan was very much on the mend. In fact he was well enough to speak at the conference meeting the next morning (1st Session!), followed by Lydia and then Vic.

For news on the rest of the group, please read the News page

Please pray:

  1. For the team ministering today
  2. For people to become Christians at the Gospel Meetings
  3. For the Pastors to be greatly blessed through the Conference
  4. For the health of the team
