Together for God:
India 2004
God's investment in our future
Thursday 17th June 2004
Today is the second day of the Pastor's conference and the first day of the gospel crusade.
We have the following email report from the team:
At the Pastors’ Conference this morning there was a powerful anointing of the Holy Spirit as the Indian sisters led us in worship. Tina then preached a message about intimacy with Jesus, followed by Graham who spoke about Moses growing into his calling.
Following the coffee break Lydia preached about love that makes a difference. There were several power cuts while Lydia was speaking, which she coped with really well. Pastor Jackson then inspired the pastors with a challenging message about the power of God.
We feel that barriers are coming down and the pastors are warming to us.
Graham and Roger went for a walk at lunchtime and visited a workman who lives at the side of the road. He invited us into his house, which was little more than polythene and corrugated iron, and this is where his family lives. He is unemployed and gets odd jobs when he can for about 70-90 rupees a day, which is the equivalent at £1. Today he had work. Graham and Roger then walked on to the roadside pot-makers who had given the man work. We stayed with them and explained to them that we were from the gospel conference down the road.
Please pray:
- The team ministering today
- For people to become Christians at the Gospel Meetings in Gulbarga
- For the Pastors to be greatly blessed through the Conference in Gulbarga
- For the health of the team
