Together for God:
India 2001
God's investment in our future
Monday 30th July
Today the team will say goodbye to Cuddalore and spend
most of the day travelling to Gudyatham, which is the destination
of the second conference.
Hi we have reached Vellore
and have checked into a lovely hotel, even better than the
last one! They are really looking after us well.
Today we left Cuddalore
around 8:20am. We had a good journey apart from we had a
puncture half way there. Everyone was really thirsty and
we were in the middle of nowhere, but praise the Lord, a
man came along on his pushbike selling coconuts, most people
had or at least tried one. The Indian team where of course
in control as usual and got us back underway in no time.
Some of the scenery we
went through on the way here was amazing with everything
from barren mountain ranges, to almost a Jungle where wild
elephants live.
We stopped off to visit
the Pastor that Roger went to on the Sunday morning in Walajah,
he now has his new building in a local village and we went
there to dedicate the church. Tina cut the ribbon and the
Leaders spoke at the opening service. The people here have
been praying for rain as they are in the middle of a drought
and while we were there it poured down! To top the visit
Nick made an appeal and seven people gave their lives to
Jesus.
Tomorrow we start the pastors
conference in Gudjatam and leave for there at around nine
in the morning, we are all looking forward to tomorrow and
everyone is in good health and high spirits.
Prayer Requests
1] Please pray for the team as they travel to Gudyatham.
2] Please pray for the start of the second conference and
for the speakers.
3] Please pray for the team about tiredness and illness,
that God would be their rest and he would refresh them so
they are able to do his work.
