God's investment in our future

Wednesday 1st August

The second Pastors Conference starts today.

Greetings from Guddyatam!

We are very encouraged at the spiritual atmosphere here. The pastors are very open and receptive and from the first session have been responding warmly to us all.

It has also been noticeable that the tummy upsets are finally stopping. Today, for the first time in several days, all the team members were at the pastors conference and the gospel meeting. We’re staying at a very nice hotel which has a good restaurant and hot showers! This is making everyone happy.

Everyone who has preached here is even more confident than last week and speaking with boldness and authority. Last night about 25 people came to the Lord and tonight around 40 – it was a very exciting meeting. The prayer emphasis after the meetings is mainly for healing – there are so many needs and the people press around us, they so much want prayer.

Tomorrow is the last day of the pastors conference and again will end with an anointing service. Please pray for this time and also the gospel meeting in the evening – the gospel meetings will continue after we’ve gone until Sunday night. The people here would value your prayers that God will continue to bless these times.

We will leave for Bangalore at 8.00 am on Friday and should arrive around lunchtime. We have asked Frederick to take us straight to Pizza Hut!

Saturday is the women’s conference – please pray for Tina and Terrie as they preach and for Anne and Beth as they give testimonies. We have to finish by 2.00 pm as we need to be at the orphanage for the 4.00 pm opening ceremony. Pastor Jackson has invited 3 government ministers to the opening.

On Sunday some of the team may be distributed to churches in Bangalore, with others attending Pastor Jackson’s church. He then wants to give us all lunch at his house. In the evening we leave by overnight train for Madras. This will be a 6 hour journey and sleeping compartments have been booked for us. We should arrive in Madras around 4.30 am and Pastor Jackson will arrange for a minibus to take us to the airport – our flight leaves at 10.00 am.

Prayer Requests

1] Pray for the manifest presence of Jesus at the second Pastor's conference and that the annointing of God will be upon those who minister

2] Please pray for the team about tiredness and illness and that God would refresh them.
