Together for God:
India 2000
God's investment in our future
Sunday 18th June
We
all attended church this morning and it was an amazing experience
- we enjoyed the worship - Graham loved the drums and can't
wait to buy some to bring home.
It
was a joint Tamil/English service and the people are tremendous
worshippers and prayers. They sit cross-legged on the floor
throughout the whole service.
Although this was a very sad occasion,
the people still worshipped God. We were given a lovely
welcome and a place of honour on the platform of the church.
Roger and Graham prayed for people at the end of the service
- Graham had little children come and ask him to pray for
them.
The children were so well-behaved -
we have all been surprised at how good and patient the children
are - they are a joy to behold.
The church was full to overflowing with
people who had come from many different places, including
overseas, to pay their respects to Samuel and comfort Pastor
Jackson and his family.
Roger was asked to preach and he spoke
on: "I live by faith in the son of God who loved me and
gave himself for me".
Here are 3 photos taken during the service:
- Roger
in full flow!
- A
worshipping people
- More
worshippers
Paul (the one
with the digital camera which is why we can see such brilliant
photos) says he will be on a photo some time but
he's not sure when.
The team say - "OK Paul we'll get you
later!"
Terrie's learnt a new dance - it's called
hot toast - she will give you a demonstration when we get
back.
Love from all the team
