Lead on with Courage and
Strength
These are the words I
took with me on the 2003 trip to India.
As the team prepared to
go to India we grew together and learnt to love, encourage and support one
another.
We were told there could
be several hundred women at the Women's Conference and I had never spoken
publicly before. So when Tina told me I would be the first to give my
testimony, I was grateful for the support in prayer from the rest of the team
and knew that God would be at my side.
I dressed in a sari for
the first time in my 75 years in respect for my Indian sister's culture and I
based my testimony on how God has been there for me when I have prayed for his
help.
I cannot express the
feelings I had for my Christian sisters as they sang their Christian songs, and
I praised God that he had blessed me in my long life with strength and good
health to be able to have this experience.
