The First Women for the
Kingdom Conference in Bangalore in the Year 2000
The first conference was
held in Bangalore in the year 2000 during the mission visit of the Together for
God 2000 team from Watton Pentecostal Church. For more information about the
mission as a whole go to the Together For
God website.
Tina and Terrie have written their own stories about
the excitement and privilege they felt as they enjoyed worship, fellowship and
ministry with their Indian sisters at the Conference.
It was exciting to take
the ministry of Women for the Kingdom to India. The four women from the team
were:
- Flora Nundy who led the sessions and
introduced us.
- Rachael Nally who led some of the
worship and taught the Indian women some English songs.
- Tina Pawsey, who spoke on Hannah.
- Terrie Thomas, who spoke on Esther.

The team arrived at
Bangalore airport at 4 o'clock in the morning. The India team from Together For
God was there to greet them. Every one on the team received garlands as they
left the airport. Left is a picture of Tina, Rachael and Terrie (from left
to right) still wearing their garlands.
Following this
picture we were all whisked off to the hotel for some sleep before the start of
the mission. More photographs can be seen at the
Together For God
Website. |
