A Special Women's
Conference

God was mightily
blessing the Together for God team in its mission to hold gospel meetings and
pastors' conferences in the towns of Cuddalore and Guddyatam. We felt our faith
had grown and our hearts were prepared for God to accomplish much through us
during this special day for women.
The morning
session was a wonderful time of worshipping the Lord together and the presence
of the Holy Spirit was almost tangible - we felt he was hovering over our
gathering like a gentle dove.
Anne then gave a
testimony of how she'd become a Christian and how the Lord has helped her
through many different seasons of her life. Following this, Tina spoke from the
word of God on a message about being hungry and thirsty for the things of God.

After a short coffee
break, Beth told the women about how she'd come to know Jesus as her personal
Saviour, then Terrie spoke on the life of Mary Magdalene.
At the end of the day,
Tina made an appeal for salvation. We'd learnt that at every meeting we attend
in India, there will always be non-Christians present, so it's important not to
miss any opportunity to invite people to come to Jesus. It was a tremendous
privilege and beyond all our expectations to witness 35 women standing in
response to that appeal and to lead them in a prayer to receive Jesus as their
Saviour and Lord.
