Together for God: India
God's investment in our future
Fri 2nd May
This morning the team went to visit several factories that are run by Christians. First was the match factory where matches are made that are exported all over the world. It was intersting to see the ladies working and sorting the matches. Children used to do this work but now only adults work in the factory because the government has banned the use of child labour.
Next the team visited a factory that produced Cotton Seed Oil. The cotton seeds are delivered in large sacks (45Kgs) and the oil is pressed out, about 5kgs per sack. The waste product is sold as cattle cake. The cotton is separated from the cotton seed and the cotton is spun and woven into fabric. We saw this process in the third factory we visited. It was a privelege to visit and pray for so many people.
At the crusade in the evening Alan Farrant gave his testimony and Lydia peached, Pastor Jeyapaul led the service and made the appeal.
