The single state, like marriage, is an open choice for most people. Although most people choose the latter, no Church authorities or Orders have any Biblical grounds to forbid marriage, and indeed to do so is roundly condemned in 1 Timothy 4:3 as being a departure from the Faith.
Allowing celibacy as a voluntary option shows the wisdom of God. Even Peter, one of Christ's leading apostles was a married man.
