Let us take time here to consider that God loves us.

Here are three reasons that we can know that God loves us: -

1.God is love (1 John 4 v 8)

2. God has demonstrated his love: - But God condemneth His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. (Romans 5 v 8) Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us that we should be called the sons of God. (1 John 3 v 1) Beloved if God so loved us we ought also to love one another. (1 John 4 v11)

3. God states His love:-
….Ye are of more value than many sparrows ( Luke 12 v 7)
But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered (also Luke 12 v 7)
If the Lord is interested in such a trivial thing as how many hairs we have how much more interested He must be in more important things about us.
We love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4 v 19)
…For He careth for you (1 Peter 5 v 7) (See also John 14 v 21, John 13 v 34 and John 15 vs 9 & 10, to name but a few more)

It is good to be awakened to the importance of the Lords love towards us. His love for us is very very real and very very strong. Despite it all He loves us. Whether we see it all or whether we see very little He loves us. His love does not depend upon our performance, He loves us whether or not we are in His will.

We are important, precious and valuable in His eyes. Everything He does for us He does because He loves us. He only ever does anything for us because He loves us. God is not against us but for us (Romans 8 v 31). God is not trying to trip us up. He does not enthusiastically wait for us to get things wrong so that He can pick holes in us. He is not waiting for us to fall, He is not wanting us to fail; No He loves us, He is determined that we should get things right, He is determined that we should make it all the way. He encourages us on and brings us into that place of beauty.

It is important to God that He loves us. And so He wants this to be important to us. He wants us to appreciate His love and enjoy His love.
The Christian life is not just about "what I did for God" it is also (and more importantly) about "what God did for us"… as a result of His love."

The only reason you and I have got this far and the only reason we are going to make it to the end of the course is because God loves us.
