The
Samuel Joseph Jackson Memorial Mercy Home is named after the son of Pastor
Francis Jackson, who died at the age of twelve.
The home is a refuge and a chance of life for boys and girls of all ages. The children are cared for in a loving centre that has become a part of the community.
In the year 2000, the orphanage was forced to move to its present location
after an incident where 2 cobra snakes entered one of the children’s
dormitories. One of the snakes was killed and this upset the local community
because they worshipped the snakes. The present site is nearer to the
KMPC School and therefore means that the children can go to school.
