Together for God:
India 2003
God's investment in our future
Tuesday 15th July 2003
Tuesday is scheduled as a day of rest.
I had a message from Roger on my answerphone this evening.
He said that the team is now in Mysore and everyone is really
excited about the Pastors' Conference and the gospel meetings
that are starting tomorrow. He asked that people would pray
for their time in Mysore.
We received an email on Wednesday 16th July about how the
team spent the day on Tuesday, see the picture
gallery for some photographs.
15th July - We have arrived in Mysore
and this is our first day. We visited the main Palace Mysore
and took the tour it is quite amazing. In the evening we
went to the water Gardens at Brindavan, and through Pastor
Jackson were treated as VIPs. We were allowed to drive across
the dam and we were given a a police escort. The fountains
in the Garden were exceptional and the pictures show the
famous 'musical fountain'. We were given first class treatment
and had to sit in a place that is sectioned off for visiting
dignitaries and during the display we were served tea.
It was truly amazing to be allowed
such access to the gardens and the dam. The size of the
gardens is staggering, approx. 2 Kms square. The hospitality
was beyond belief. David Fiddy was stopped by a member of
the public so that his photograph could be taken as the
person thought that David must be famous to warrant such
treatment. Of course, David is a child of the King of Kings
and Lord of Lords!
Please pray:
- For the team as they take a day to rest and prepare
for the meetings in Mysore
- For the people who will be attending the Pastors' Conference
and Gospel Meetings in the next few days
- For the health of the team
