Together for God:
India 2003
God's investment in our future
Friday 11th July 2003
Today is the third day of the Pastors' Conference and Gospel
Meetings in Kolar Gold Fields.
The schools team will continue to work in the school and
orphanage.
We received the following email on Sunday 13th July about
the Conference in Kolar Gold Fields
Please pray for health of the team
most have had some difficulty, generally tummy problems
We had to travel to each day to
KGF from Bangalore which is 100 Kms and took some 2 hours
each way. There were about 60 leaders attending the conference.
We would leave around 8.30 am and get back at 11.30 in the
evening. The team were very tired and I think this contributed
to the illnessess.
The Pastors conference was very
sucessful with many of the Pastors being envisioned to work
together. The Pastors were very receptive to the message
that was brought to them, although some struggled with the
concepts taught. It was interesting that all the speakers
spoke about a similar theme of building and there were a
number of prophecies for the pastors that were a tremendous
encouragement. Many Pastors wanted us to return and minister
on the Sunday but unfortunately we were already committed
to churches in Bangalore.
In the evening the team split into
two to go to two churches. The aim was to encourage the
churches and from the sadness expressed each time we left
we achieved this aim. On the last night one of the churches
had an open air and 11 people were saved. I (Roger) had
a word about a lady with a back problem and God healed her.
We were very impressed by a pastor named Lawrence, a really
good and gifted man. On the last night we went to his church
and had a meal there before travelling back to Bangalore
for the last time.
See the gallery for pictures
of the team at Pastor Lawrence's house and of the orphanage.
Please pray:
- For the safety of the team ministering in Kolar Gold
Fields
- For people to become Christians at the Gospel Meetings
- For the Pastors to be greatly blessed through the Conference
- For the schools team working with the children
- For the health of the team
