Sunday 9th June
Roger phoned at 1pm today:
Tina and Terrie travelled to 2 different
churches this morning and both preached at each church.
They were good meetings, Tina and Terrie were excited by
them.
Vic and Simon travelled to 2 churches,
Vic dedicated a baby. Although Simon went along today he
is not very well, so please pray for his recovery.
Roger visited one church on his own,
while there he named and dedicated a baby calling him David
John.
Vic is preaching the gospel tonight
and Tina is giving a smaller gospel message. Everyone is
really looking forward to the meeting tonight. They have
been getting about 500 people at each gospel meeting and
tonight are expecting even more.
The Pastor's conference was really
successful. there were about 170 pastors and 70 other people.
The team felt that a lovely atmosphere was built for the
pastors to make relationships and trust one another.
2nd phonecall:
Last night (Saturday) about 120 people
came to know the Lord. Tonight we think there were over
200, people were almost fighting over the decision cards!
We had an amazing breakthrough. All the through the series
of gospel meetings the local people had been predicting
rain. In fact it rained in all the villages around apart
from the village in which the gospel meetings were held.
However, as soon as we had finished everything at the last
gospel meeting it started raining heavily! Yet right the
way through the week it never rained at all.
Please pray:
- For the gospel meeting tonight for a big breakthrough
and many people becoming Christians
- For Simon's speedy recovery
- For continued protection of the team
