Together for God:
India 2001
God's investment in our future
Thursday 26th July
This is the second day of the Pastors conference in Cuddalore.
Please pray for the people who will be speaking and for
the health of the team.
Hi from India!
Today has been a very busy
day, many things have happened. There was some sad news
today, Vic is too unwell to continue and will fly home in
the next few days accompanied by Brian. They will be missed
by the team as their input has been invaluable. We pray
that they have a safe journey home. Please pray for the
team as the enemy is launching a sustained attack, however
we are confident in our God. Already we have seen the teams
health growing stronger because of the prayers by yourselves
and the churches involved with the mission
The timetable tomorrow
is:
pastors conference preaching- Tina, Ian, Graham, Nick
Gospel Meeting - not confirmed yet but may be Tina and Nick
The Pastors conference
went very well this morning with Brian, Jon, Richard and
Paul sharing their messages. The spirit of God brought encouragement
to everyone. There was a breakthrough with the pastors today
as they started to trust and get closer to the team. They
all joined together to pray against the schemes of the enemy
and the Lord broke through in the ministry times.
Each of the speakers said
that as they stood to speak they felt the empowering of
the Holy Spirit. Even though they were weak from the illness,
God's power was released through their weakness, glory to
God.
The Gospel meetings have
been very exciting with about two to two and a half thousand
people attending. We have seen many people set free from
witchcraft and find Jesus as their own personal saviour,
putting their trust in him.
Tonight the team prayed
before the gospel meeting that the Holy Spirit would give
them freedom to preach the word with power. About 200 to
250 people responded to the message and thirty people gave
the team their names because they now want to be part of
a local church.
HealingsThe team continue
to see the Lord work mightily in the prayer times after
the service. The Lord healed two people of TB, a deaf person
heard and a dumb lady spoke. One man came forward for prayer
with TB, saying he was a Christian. When prayed for nothing
happened, then the Holy Spirit prompted one of the team
to ask if the man knew what being a Christian meant. It
became obvious that he was not saved and was led to Christ
and was healed.
One heart rending story
was of a lady who last night was touched by God and wanted
prayer for her son who was studying. The team told her to
bring her son tonight and that we would pray for him. When
he arrived we realised that the boy had travelled 60 kilometers
for prayer, either walking or cycling. We believe that God
will honour the boys faith.
Some of the team are still
feeling a little unwell, and several people from the Indian
team are also feeling unwell. Please pray for all attacks
against the team in India to cease in the name of Jesus.
Prayer Requests
1] Please pray for breakthrough to continue in the first
conference and that the anointing of God will be upon those
who minister.
2] Please pray for the gospel meetings that people will
come to know the Lord.
