CHILD ABUSE
By Keith W Munday Bibliography
Child abuse has become a major social issue. It happens in
all kinds of homes and institutions, including Christian ones. Adults still
suffer from the memories of childhood abuse and it revives powerful feelings of
anger, disgust and sometimes of guilt.
Since the Maria Colwell case in 1974, there have been over
40 Inquiries into Child Abuse, and the NSPCC estimates that between 150 and 200
children die each year at the hands of their parents. Others are physically or
emotionally hurt.
